Department Resources
ENMU is fortunate to be the home of the Blackwater Locality #1
Archaeological
Site, which is the Clovis type site and which
contains an almost unbroken sequence
of deposits stretching back over 10,000 years. Students have the
opportunity to continue analysis of this important site, as well as to
participate in cultural resource management projects within the
New Mexico/Texas/Colorado area via ENMU's affiliation
with the Agency for Conservation Archaeology.
