ENMU is fortunate to be the home of the Blackwater Locality #1 Archaeological Site, which is the Clovis type site and which contains an almost unbroken sequence of deposits stretching back over 10,000 years. Students have the opportunity to continue analysis of this important site, as well as to participate in cultural resource management projects within the New Mexico/Texas/Colorado area via ENMU's affiliation with the Agency for Conservation Archaeology.

  Provides students and professional archaeologists with samples of various raw materials used in the manufacture of stone tools. Images of a subset of the collection are available online.



• State of the Art Curation Facility
  
  ENMU's curation facility provides long-term curation of archaeological artifacts and anthropological paper materials. Its currently stores materials from a wide variety of sources, including:
